PRINCIPLE

The automated procedure for the determination of total nitrogen involve the step of UV digestable in alkaline medium with an excess of potassium persulfate . The organic nitrogen compound present in the sample, are converted into nitrate. All nitrogen present in nitrate form, is then determined with chromotropic acid.

The color intensity is measured at 450 nm
